Great Ideas in Science

This course is designed for non-science majors. The non-technical course
integrates and focuses on major events of biology, chemistry, and physics that have shaped the course of science through the centuries. The idea behind each major advance is treated in its historic context, with special attention to its importance in mankind's understanding of the nature of the universe. Everyday examples will be incorporated in the course to help students understand the relationship between individuals and the natural world.
